Homemade Ice Cream? YES, please!

We had a addition math timed test competition against ourselves. For each set of math facts we could answer in 30 seconds, we earned part of an ice cream sundae. Seven students earned the entire banana split because they passed all the levels: 0-10!

This is Mr. and Mrs. Standlee, Senior - Mr. Standlee's parents. They made the homemade ice cream and then came to help serve the sundaes for us. Mr. Standlee came, as well. We watched the movie that Mrs. Standlee made of our year together.

And that's a wrap! Second grade was one to remember!

Field Day

Field Day started off with Capture the Cone against Ms. Yokobe's class.

Our next station was Crab Soccer against Ms. Yokobe's class.

Our next stop was Team Cooperation. This was tricky. The girls won by one Hoola Hoop!

Next, we got to play Rock, Paper, Scissors Baseball.

Someone got tired.

On to the Refreshment Station and Jump Rope.

Our last stop was a Noodle Relays and Cup Stacking Relays.

This was a bitter sweet day for us. Sweet because we LOVE field day. The joy of playing together and being outside is just the best. Bitter because it was our last Field Day with Mr. Lofstrom! He has taken a job as a PE Specialist closer to home to end his 45 minute one-way commute. Best wishes to him and they are very lucky to have him. He has been here since we opened the doors in 1999! That's 16 years as the PE Specialist here at EP. We will miss him for sure.

Dance Recital

Mrs. Standlee was invited to see these two dancers in their dance recital Under the Sea! They displayed a lot of talent and poise. Thank you for the invitation!

June Navigator Awards

We earned three of the Golden Navigator Awards for the month of May:
Golden Clock = fewest tardies
Golden Library Book = Library behaviors
Golden Flute = Music behaviors
Way to go Room 206! That's the way to end the year with pride in your behaviors! You should be proud of yourselves.

These students earned Navigator Awards for their behaviors. They are holding certificates instead of lanyards because they have previously been awarded.

We hung our Golden Awards in the hallway.
