Valentine's Day Party

What a day of creativity and love we had on Friday.

Here we are making our Valentine's Day bags.

We used napkins, doilies, cupcake liners, paper, and of course our most precious tools - our creativity and imagination.

Thank you for all of my teacher gifts.

Our finished products.

Mrs. and Mr. Neely really treated our class to some amazing goodies which they hand made with lots of love.

Here is Mr. Neely teaching us how to make the Juice Box Robot!

Our snack table.

Mr. and Mrs. Neely brought us a craft to make to wear on our heads.

Mr. and Mrs Neely brought the props. The students added the silly!

Passing out our Valentine's Day cards.

They truly defy words, don't you think?

Thank you so much for all the love.

Good-bye to Mrs. Watson

Emerald Park announced the retirement of Mrs. Watson, kindergarten teacher extraordinaire. Of course, we are happy for her, but sad for us.

Of course, we are happy for her, and so very thankful we had her expertise since Emerald Park opened its doors in 1999. Our classroom surprised her with an oral reading of a poem.

Mrs. Watson will be missed by our entire community who was blessed to have her as the entry point for hundreds of kindergarten families. They had the most happy, creative, educationally sound, use of best practices, expertise, and beneficial start to their educational career in her care. A simple, "Thank you," simply is not enough. What a treasure she is!

Main Street, USA

One of our projects was to build a business community. We learned about "needs" vs "wants" and "goods" vs. "services" and what advertising does for a business.

This is Main Street, USA.

Here we have a hotel.

We have a farm.

Seahawks Pride

Building up to the Super Bowl IXIL, we wore these necklaces each Blue Friday. Then we took them home for good luck during the game yesterday.

This is a serious Seahawks 12th Man.

Each Blue Friday, I brought in something special. First week, the necklaces. The second week the cupcakes.
The third week, temporary tattoos and Feed the Beast Skittles for the big game.

We sat in a 12s formation for good luck.

We wore our 12s colors proudly!

It was Sports Spirit Day, so there a few "others" in the picture!

And then there are these two...

Yay! Huskies!

We've got spirit, yes we do!

We will be waiting for the 2015-2016 Seahawks Season.
GO HAWKS!
